What if my size has changed?

It is common for the size of Uresta you need to change during your lifetime. This can happen for a variety of reasons, such as menopause, age, hormonal fluctuations, pregnancy, changes in weight, and changes to pelvic floor strength. The following are indicators of when a larger or smaller size may be required.

Try a smaller size if:

  • You are unable to empty your bladder
  • It is uncomfortable

Try a larger size if:

  • Your bladder leaks aren’t stopping
  • Uresta falls down to the opening of your vagina or falls out altogether, or shifts out of place

As a reminder, you’ve found the right size when:

  • Your bladder leakage has stopped.
  • You are able to empty your bladder without difficulty.
  • Uresta fits comfortably and is barely noticeable.

How long does it last?

Uresta is reusable and we recommend replacing Uresta annually to ensure proper fit, safety, and comfort.

Think of us as a brace for your bladder.

  • Most of us start life with strong muscles that keep the urethra supported and closed so urine doesn't leak out during everyday activities.

  • Bladder leaks (aka stress urinary incontinence / SUI) happen when the muscles that support the urethra lose strength over time or become damaged.

  • Uresta goes inside your vagina where it sits under your urethra and supports it through the vaginal wall. Uresta acts as a supportive shelf to prevent urine from leaking out during moments of pressure (aka sneezing or jumping).

  • You can still pee normally with Uresta in, the natural pressure of urinating opens your urethra so urine comes out.
